Go to Tractor ... By: Spacecam45. on 05 Dec 09, 17:48:20 Go to Tractor Supply and get some foot solution in a sqeeze bottle. The clerks there will help you. Apply that and let it dry If you have a cut in the flesh wait for them to dry after applying this solution and then coat the area with Neosporin or a generic Triple Antibiotic Ointment. It is important that you do this several times a day and keep the wound clean. Stall the animal for a week. If redness, heat or swelling call a vet. A systemic antibiotic may be necessary.
my goats have had ... By: decimuscarrerus. on 05 Jul 09, 05:12:19 my goats have had alot of problems, they limped so i treated them by having someone cut the hooves and then hoof rot medicine then they walked fine, a week later they limped again, i checked their hooves and turns out now it looks liek there is a cut in it's flesh, inbetween the hooves. it looks liek flesh with a white gooey-like thing from it. is it a deep cut? infection* i dunno what to do i fear they will die.
I don't think that ... By: Lancelottool. on 30 Jul 09, 01:40:55 I don't think that it's an issue of a trim being too short. The hoof is like a finger nail, what ever you cut off grows back. The hoof trimmer from time to time, when the cow has some sort of infection such as an abscess and has to remove more hoof material than normal, will apply an antiseptic to the area, wrap the hoof with a gauze material and glue a wood/rubber boot to the hoof. The boot helps relieve pressure to the hoof area. I hope this helps.

This manual unit is designed to easily turn sheep or goats over so that their feet can be trimmed or a full belly can be removed from sheep. The automatic head restraint keeps the animal calm by both blindfolding the animal and holding the head securely so that full access to the under body is available

They are pets.
