Hello mrs magandelatour, I may have not answered this before but? we only milk one a day.
By: WannaBEEfarmer. on 04 Jan 12, 01:32:40
Hello Faker 5, Our milk is in no way as inexpensive as the white stuff you can buy in the corner gas station. In fact since we use organic grain the cost per gallon is 2 to 3 times what you pay for the? white stuff in the corner store. Our milk is a superior product, for my families consumption only. Don't try this at home if you think you are going to get cheap milk!

It is good that his man? has only one goat. If he had three hundred goats he'd have needed 3000 hours to milk 300 goats and his farm would have lost money since he milks only once a day. These days the goats and cows are milked four times a day to make a profit. Feed is expensive and you've to pay for labor used to take care of animals.

Hello Mrs. Tour. We milked once a day year round for? 8 years. One trick is to adjust the protein intake of the goat to match the output of milk. We never tried to maximize production. WBF

Nice video. I bought my first? goat a couple months ago and now have 4. I absolutely love them! They free range all day, free access to hay, and put themselves back in their goat house at night. They never leave our property either.

cool!! I'll look for Sannen...My friend used to raise them when we were kids...she raised Lamancha, Nubians and she even had a sannen...they were awesome goats...and fantastic nanny's...I hated it when we had to take the babies from the Momma's...I? like your method...leaving them with the Momma's during the day...and seperating them at night...so that way you don't have to deal with "scours" and they get all the Momma's good stuff!! Thanks!!

@yankeegurl62 Wrote: >and being that goats milk is stronger than cows milk. Fresh from the goat we do not notice that our goat milk smells or any different from cows milk. But fresh raw cow milk? has a LOT more fat, yum, yum. :-) If we let our raw goat milk sit in the fridge for a week, it starts to have a goat smell. Most of the time the milk is consumed in two to three days.

Hello Yankee girl, No bucks at the WannaBEEfarm. We go off site for aaa...service. I have heard that bucks can make the milk buckey,But have? no experience with it. Our milk and goats do not stink, at least that is what some of the neighbors say. I would not dream of making suggestions on how to keep goats in FLA. It's a whole different environment then we have. We have Sannen milk goats which are from a colder regions. If I where FLA I would choose Nubians or spanish goats. Hope this helps.

here in florida we have a lot of BITTER herbs...and being that goats milk is stronger than cows milk...and depending on the bread of goat you have...so to is the? flavor diffrent...(you don't let your billy run with the does do you?) cause his 'scent" I've been told will taint the milk...any suggestions about your florida neighbors?

Hello Yankee girl, Thank you for commenting. On browsing. At the Wanna BEE Farm we let the goats browse as much as possible. We feel that it allows them the opportunity to use the intelligence that creator gave them to know how to take care of themselves. The milk will change taste depending on what they eat. However the goats health is more important to us then taste of the milk that they share with us. The? healthier the goat is, the healthier we are. This is my view anyhow. Take care. WBF

my grandson CANNOT drink cows milk...he is unable to breakdown and process the protien in the milk..BUT he can drink Goats milk...and it dosen't make him sick...we live here in Florida, and Goats milk is VERY expensive here...I have to wait until we are able to move to our new home in the country before we get our nanny's..also, people don't know that it's best if you don't let the nanny's 'browes" the milk is effected by herbs they eat..sweetfeed and alpaha hay if? you can afford it..good video!

yeah i get musous? to after drinking cows milk
By: WannaBEEfarmer. on 10 Oct 09, 16:26:59
Sally Fallon says that Raw cow milk is a more complete food. That is for the people who do not have issues with it. Our son gets mucous (phlegm) when drinking cow milk raw or pasteurized. Goat milk has smaller fat molecules but B6 and B12 are higher in cow milk. The best milk for kids? is moms milk. But some moms are not thrilled to nurse after two years. My belief is that any health animal clean raw milk is better for you then pasteurized any milk. Hope this helps
