OVERPOPULATION? DOES NOT EXIST. WHAT EXIST IS THE RESOURCES OF THE? WORLD IN THE HANDS OF A FEW. WITH MODERN DAY TECHNOLOGY SUCH AS SKYSCRAPERS, VERTICAL FARMS, 3D PRINTING, THORIUM REACTORS, AUTOMATION AKA (TECHNOLOGICAL UNEMPLOYMENT) THERE IS NO REASON WHY THE PLANET EARTH COULD NOT SUSTAIN OUR CURRENT POPULATION (7 BILLION) OR MORE. THE MASSES ARE UNEDUCATED. IT IS A FACT THAT MORE EDUCATED COUPLES HAVE LESS CHILDREN (2.1 OR AROUND 2 CHILDREN) IN THERE? LIFETIMES.

I have one little bitty issue with this video, best expressed when you talk about the planet being 'designed' to do something...Where on earth (pardon my pun)? did you get such a baseless and nonsensical idea. Sustainability though, yay!

This VIDEO IS A JOKE! the planet doesn't like us, it doesn't 'provide services' to humans. Are you kidding me? 'Sustainability' is grand and everything, but we can't live on this planet forever? THAT is not sustainable. and wouldn't there definition of 'sustainability' = the Amish? Meanwhile I'm going to go into the future, which includes Asteroidal mining, Nuclear Fusion, and synthetic meat. If any of you 'sustainability' people want to come join those creating the future then climb aboard!

@MalcontentGeek Yes IT'S THAT SIMPLE 2 fishes = 2mouth to feed... but what if I have 2 fishes and 10 mouth?... But NO its too simple, it as to be the fault of the government and some complicated manoeuvre for you to? revolt and want MORE!!!! seriously who cares about the kids you didn't have? every time you masturbate do you think its waste?

The planet can easily sustain double, if not treble the population of what it has now so say, up to 20 billion, if not more. The problem is the amount of land and resources we are consuming. It has been said through many academic journals that if everyone on the planet lived with the same amount of land space and ate the same amount of food, then the population would? need only the space of France to survive. Reduce our resource and land consumption not the population.

I think it's pretty ironic that people assume it's birthrate we need to control and not our way of life. Goods are produces to break down so that we can by new stuff. We are taught to be consumers? from birth with all the holidays, mass advertisments etc. We don't need to reduce population. If we just wanted we could feed everyone on the planet many times around. Google 'overpopulation is a myth'.
By: MalcontentGeek. on 28 Dec 11, 15:09:40
@MrTruthVibrations RIGHT WING CODDLE-FOOLS out of congress, then, through ridged population laws, babies? out of future. As so many multinational corporations say, IT'S THAT SIMPLE

By: gggrow. on 21 Dec 11, 20:44:16
@MrTruthVibrations Just reduce birth? rate, not kill people...

Think about it: Sustainability? = Depopulation... So who has to go???
By: godkingRoss. on 18 Dec 11, 18:48:02
Here in the UK if we suddenly stopped getting foreign food shipments then around 40? million people would starve, leave or kill each other. This worries me so much, especially with a possible economic collapse on the horizon.
